I taught kindergarten and first grade for many years with a sprinkling of a few other grades, just to keep it interesting! I love kids and I love to teach. Currently, I'm working as a Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) as a specialist in the area of Early Literacy. For our youngest readers, phonemic awareness, phonics, and oral language are important skills. I believe in the power of great photos to enhance engagement during these instructional routines. That's why i've developed these decks: in the hope that other teachers will use them to enhance engagement during literacy routines.
