This presentation will explore aspects of information literacy instruction at the University of Massachusetts Boston that complement the ACRL Framework. Drawing from the overarching concept of metaliteracy and the frames scholarship as a conversation and searching as strategic exploration, we will share educational tools and activities that allow students to directly engage with, reflect upon, and create information, frequently with the use of mobile devices in the classroom.
