Lee Kun-hee, born in Seoul in 1942, was married to Hong Ra-hee and had two daughters and a son. He graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo and started working for Samsung in 1968. As the chairman of Samsung from 1987 to 2014, Lee Kun-hee was instrumental in transforming the company into a global tech giant. Despite controversies, his impact on Samsung and the South Korean economy was significant. Lee Kun-hee passed away in 2020 but his legacy will continue to be felt for years to come.
