More than 9,000 IELTS students take the test every day and most of them are trying to get a high score.

As much as you practice your English skills, it's unlikely that your score will increase more than 5 points without some help from outside.

There is no magic formula or special strategy that will guarantee you a higher grade for sure because there are too many variables affecting the outcome of your exam. However, with some d<span data-sheets-value="{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:&quot;Dissertation Writing Services, dissertation writers&quot;}" data-sheets-userformat="{&quot;2&quot;:6719,&quot;3&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:0},&quot;4&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:16777215},&quot;5&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:[{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;5&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0}},{&quot;1&quot;:0,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;3&quot;:3},{&quot;1&quot;:1,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;4&quot;:1}]},&quot;6&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:[{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;5&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0}},{&quot;1&quot;:0,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;3&quot;:3},{&quot;1&quot;:1,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;4&quot;:1}]},&quot;7&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:[{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;5&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0}},{&quot;1&quot;:0,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;3&quot;:3},{&quot;1&quot;:1,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;4&quot;:1}]},&quot;8&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:[{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;5&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0}},{&quot;1&quot;:0,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;3&quot;:3},{&quot;1&quot;:1,&quot;2&quot;:0,&quot;4&quot;:1}]},&quot;12&quot;:0,&quot;14&quot;:{&quot;1&quot;:2,&quot;2&quot;:0},&quot;15&quot;:&quot;Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif&quot;}">issertation writing services guidelines </span>on how to prepare for the exam and taking advantage of certain IELTS tips we created specially for this purpose you can increase your chances to reach your target band.

There are no shortcuts when it comes to preparation but there are plenty of tools that may give you an edge over other test takers and help you to reach your goal.

Let's see why most people fail the IELTS exam and what you need to do to succeed:

The main reasons for failure are:

- Lack of preparation

I don't think that many people intentionally want to fail, but there is a big difference between taking the test seriously and preparing for it. It's a myth that being fluent in English means you can easily pass the exam. In fact, language proficiency has very little to do with scoring well on this particular test. The IELTS is first and foremost a language assessment tool; it evaluates four skills - listening, reading, writing and speaking - but not all good writers or speakers are necessarily good at reading or listening. Besides, teaching materials differ significantly from the actual test. It is relatively easy to pass a course and get your certificate but it's not enough if you want to do well on the official exam.

- Poor timing

If English is not your native language, there must be quite a backlog of words and phrases that either never made sense or were learned incorrectly many years ago; the same goes for grammar rules. Every time we learn something new, the forgotten things are pushed further and further into our long-term memory to make room for new information. This means that you have a limited amount of time before the words, phrases, expressions and rules start slipping from your grasp; some claims that in less than six months you will forget about 80% of what you learned in a language course.

- Ignoring the basics

There are two different IELTS exam formats - Academic and General Training - but in many ways they are similar, especially when it comes to test takers' mistakes. Many candidates either ignore certain topics completely or lack thorough knowledge about them which forces them to spend too much time on reviewing the topic when answering the questions. The result is that there is less time for other parts of the test and they end up missing their target score. It's essential to take care of all four skills but don't expect them all to be at an equally high level; without dissertation writers, you can achieve only average results which is not good enough if you want to reach your goal.

- Bad timing again

Many people think that the IELTS exam is not difficult to pass and that it's enough just to show up at the testing center with some basic language skills in order to succeed. It may be true for those who are fluent in English but this doesn't apply to everyone. There are two types of candidates - those who study a new language seriously and those who learn only when they need it, usually by trial and error; since learning takes time you may find yourself unprepared if you don't start early enough. Having said that, there is no excuse for showing up without proper preparation: plan ahead carefully and fix several test dates so you will always have one available if something unexpected happens
